Traditional Funeral

Direct Cremation

Chapel Services
Traditionally, depending on the cultural and religious protocol, the body of the deceased is at the service. Sometimes there is an open casket where embalming is done. Other times, a closed casket is on display.
For some, cremation serves as the best option. The cremation can take place before or after a funeral or memorial service. And the final destiny of the resulting ashes can be burial, scattering at sea or on land or placement in an urn to serve as a continual reminder.
Chapel services are a standard part of most funeral rituals. A traditional chapel hall has room to display the casket in the front of the room and seating for all the family and friends. Often the service in conducted by a member of the clergy or a funeral director.

Memorial Services

Prearrangements

Direct Burials
This type of service occurs when the deceased is not present. This can take place at the funeral home, religious institution or even at a more casual location, like at a friend or family's home and sometimes even in a park. When the deceased had more than one location where loved ones were left behind, a memorial ceremony can be held in a city or country that is not in close proximity to the actual funeral.
Prearrangement is the planning of the details of a funeral before death occurs. While for some, the act of preparing for ones passing can be difficult, it is comforting to know that your wishes and the burden and expense of planning a funeral are taken care of.
Direct burial is the procedure of burying the deceased without a preceding chapel service or visitation. This does not preclude having a service at a later time or a even at the burial site.
